Rodriguez et al. (2016) — fMRI Evidence for Cognitive Enhancement
The most rigorous human trial on methylene blue cognitive effects. A double-blind, placebo-controlled RCT (n=26) using functional MRI to measure brain activity changes. Results showed significantly improved sustained attention and memory retrieval with acute low-dose methylene blue administration.
Research Methodology
All studies cited in this research hub are indexed in PubMed Central (PMC) with full-text access. We prioritize randomized controlled trials (RCTs), systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Preclinical studies are included where human data is limited, with clear labeling. Evidence quality is graded using standard research hierarchy: RCT > Cohort > Case-Control > Case Series > Preclinical.
